ABOUT US

Betty Boarders is an all-womxn’s, San Diego based organization that aims to create a positive and supportive community by connecting women who surf or are interested in learning how to surf. Beyond building a community of like-minded women, Betty Boarders hosts surf meetups (or as we like to call them, Board Meetings) and workshops, promotes environmental awareness, and looks forward to partnering with local organizations.

In San Diego, the surf scene is primarily dominated by men which inadvertently creates an intimidating environment for beginners, let alone women. It was abundantly clear that there is a need for a local surf collective that supports and encourages women to pursue surfing.

Above all, our mission is to establish an inclusive community of strong (& badass) women who seek comradery in the world’s greatest playground, the ocean.
